Pacific Links International Announces the Acquisition of the Virtual Network Assets of International Club Network Limited
VAUGHAN, Ontario (PRWEB) September 12, 2013 -- Pacific Links International (PLI) is pleased to announce the acquisition of the virtual club assets from International Club Network Limited (ICN). PLI continues to enhance its unique reciprocal membership offerings by acquiring quality properties around the world and offering a wide range of membership categories. The ICN acquisition is the latest phase of growth PLI has seen this year, which includes partnerships with the PGA Tour and GolfBC, and a portfolio of nearly 100 clubs throughout the United States, Canada, Australia and Asia.
Since 1998, ICN has developed the world’s largest private club access program consisting of 275 participating clubs in 22 countries. As part of the transaction, PLI will own and manage this network as well as ICN’s Privileged Play program. The largest membership program of its kind in Canada, Privileged Play provides members priority access and green fee savings at notable daily fee courses for public and resort golfers.
“The acquisition of the virtual assets from ICN will expand the Pacific Links membership base and its relationships with private and daily fee golf clubs,” said Charles Lorimer, PLI Chief Operating Officer. “We are pleased to be able to extend our reach in the golf industry.”
Also included in the network assets sold to PLI is a 50 percent interest in Access Global Golf and Travel Network program in Canada - memberships which are sold through provincial golf associations.
“The sale of a portion of ICN to Pacific Links will give ICN members access to an even larger variety of quality golf clubs around the world,” said Kim Robinson, ICN President. “The resources provided by PLI will not only increase the value and quality for members, but will support our club partners as well.”
Additionally, ICN will work to further establish the Pacific Links Golf Network and launch a golf gift card program with PLI, opening up a substantial retail marketing channel for participating clubs. ICN has also entered into an agreement to manage and grow the virtual business of PLI. For more information visit http://www.pacificlinks.com.
