Our children are our future, and organizations like Promise2Kids help foster children and victims of abuse grow up to be happy, functional members of society.
San Diego, California (PRWEB) September 13, 2013
In celebration of J.S. Oliver Capital Management's tenth year anniversary,Ian Mausner, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of J.S. Oliver, is encouraging employees, clients, and everyone else associated with the investment firm to give back to those who need it the most: the children. Mr. Mausner wants those who can to pledge support to Promises2Kids, a S.D. nonprofit organization that addresses the needs of foster children and fights against child abuse. Ian Mausner has donated to the organization in the past and currently serves on their board. In addition, Mausner plans an event in the near future to pledge even more support.
"As responsible members of society, we need to pledge support to those who can't support themselves. Our children are our future, and organizations like Promise2Kids help foster children and victims of abuse grow up to be happy, functional members of society," he said.
Philanthropy towards children's organization is nothing new for Ian Mausner. He is on the Board of the New Children’s Museum in SD, and the Advisory Council for Voices for Children. He has given substantial funds to them, including having the Board Room named after his family. He won the 2011 Patron of the Year Award in SD for that work. In addition to serving on Boards for these organizations, he is beginning work for LA Children’s Hospital, takes his kids to the LA Food Bank on Skid Row to volunteer once a month, and goes to underprivileged areas in LA and SD once a week to offer free financial advice. Now, he is asking for help with Promises2Kids.
Promises2Kids is very special to Ian Mausner and the San Diego community, and it has helped many children find hope and opportunities in spite of their situations and past experiences. Promises2Kids has been in existence for over 30 years and has helped children through programs like the Polinsky Children's Center, Camp Connect and Guardian Scholars. Over the past year, the organization has helped 50 former foster youth pay for higher education, provided support for 2,000 children who were abused and neglected, and reconnected 500 children with their brothers and sisters.
The organization is an important part of the SD community, and Ian Mausner and the entire J.S. Oliver Capital Management family welcomes any support and thanks those who can help.
