MediSked to Support Development of First Agency Management Platform System Tied to Electronic Medication Administration Records
Rochester, NY (PRWEB) September 16, 2013 -- MediSked, LLC today announced that it has partnered with Joliet, Ill.-based Trinity Services, Inc. and a leading long term care pharmacy to develop the first Agency Management Platform System integrated with Electronic Medication Administration Records (eMAR).
MediSked Connect, the leading Agency Management Platform in the U.S., offers agencies that serve individuals with developmental disabilities a software platform that streamlines data and allows for analysis of different points of health for the individuals they support. The information gleaned from that analysis offers the opportunity for early identification of health needs, thus avoiding costly health care.
“There’s clearly a need for better efficiencies in areas promoting interventions and outcomes for people with developmental and intellectual disabilities,” said Art Dykstra, executive director for Trinity Services, Inc. “This project will directly affect medication delivery and tracking by establishing an easy-to-use, full-featured eMAR in this population.”
MediSked, LLC has partnered with Trinity Services., Inc., a statewide services provider based in New Lenox, Ill., that offers services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and one of the nation’s few pharmacies serving this same population, to create a software platform that shares important data about individuals supported by the organization and their medication administration.
“There are many stand-alone eMAR platforms available today, but none that are fully integrated into a person-centric agency management platform,” said Doug Golub, president and co-founder of MediSked. “This allows for the first-ever marriage of two information repositories that bring together comprehensive data about individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to improve their lives.”
Information such as observation logs, developmental disability service authorizations, demographic updates and assessments, as well as medication administration, tracking and delivery information, will be fed into MediSked Connect Agency Management Platform System and will interface with Pharmacy Alternatives’ eMAR system through MediSked’s Connect Exchange platform. That data will then be accessed to identify trends, improve points of care and deliver more favorable outcomes for those receiving services.
