Nudge Technology Debuts Its Activity Sharing Platform
San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) September 17, 2013 -- Nudge Technology (“Nudge”), a pioneer platform for activity sharing announced that it released the first beta version of its new web application. The service allows individuals to create, explore and share inspirational activities and is intelligently designed for preference-based searching to help users locate the most enriching experiences for them with very little effort.
Today it is very difficult and time consuming to keep abreast of the latest happenings in the world of motivational and inspirational activities like hiking trips, yoga, bike rides, surfing, sunset watching etc.
The platform highlights four categories: Nearby, Out there, Serendipity and Latest. Nearby gives the user activities from the San Francisco Bay Area, Out There consists of activities from anywhere in the world, and Serendipity contains ‘nudges’ with no ‘time stamp’, respectively.
According to the Founder Al-Hassan Hleileh, the web and search engines are increasingly an ineffective research tool for activity based recommendations. At the same time, there are thousands of spots with good offerings that are going unnoticed. Nudge’s content is user-generated, but it doesn’t stop there as the company has developed proprietary algorithms that rank and crawl the web for the best contextual activities. Users easily find activities of interest based on personal experiences, likes, friends’ likes, location, and time. It also allows users to post and share their own activities of choice with a liking system rendering the service as the “reddit” of activities. The service also has a ‘bucket list’ system where the user can add nudges to a list that they can later go back to in order to fulfill a nudge.
Leveraging a powerful backend with an algorithm that can rate and categorize activities based on multiple criteria, Nudge provides:
- Real-time access to the latest activities and personal experiences posted by others.
- Preference-based searching according to time and location.
- A liking, commenting, and bucket list system that allows users to interact with the platform.
- Users using Nudge will experience many benefits including:
- Access to activities, both user-generated and from the web, that could not be found via other search engines or social medial platforms.
- Ability to post and share personal experiences and activities with others in a simple and easy-to-use web interface.
- Get the recommendations of other users and especially friends about particular events or activities of interest.
“We created Nudge to aggregate inspiration,” said Al Hassan Hleileh, Founder of Nudge Technology. “The debut of our new service in Beta is the first step that will allow our users to start “nudging” each other while posting their experiences in the system. We intend to use this Beta as the launch ground for our offerings, to gather feedback from our user community while we continue to expand and grow this platform.” Praveen Yarlagadda co-Founder followed “Nudge is building the technology for personalization and contextualization to help the user self-actualize, and as facebook has built a platform for the social space, Instagram the visual, we aim to provide users with the best inspirational activity platform available.”
