Novation Extends PDC Healthcare's Agreement for Labeling Products
Valencia, CA (PRWEB) September 13, 2013 -- PDC Healthcare, the global leader of innovative identification solutions, announced today that its Healthcare Labeling Agreement has been extended by Novation, the leading healthcare supply chain expertise, analytics and contracting company for the more than 65,000 members and affiliates of VHA Inc, UHC, Children’s Hospital Association, and Provista, LLC. The new extended contract is effective through July 31, 2014 and encompasses all of PDC Healthcare’s labeling products under the National Agreement and the NOVAPLUS brand.
The extended contract provides the members served by Novation with direct access to PDC Healthcare’s complete line of healthcare labeling products, including stock medical labels, stock medical tapes, software compatible system labels, custom labels, blood bank labels, color-coded & date labels, patient charge & tray track labels and ribbons, and supplies for label printing equipment.
Another benefit to this agreement is the inclusion of The St. John Companies family of labeling products. PDC Healthcare acquired The St. John Companies in 2010 and the extended contract expands the label line product offering of both stock and custom labels including laboratory labels, pharmacy labels and sterile medication labels.
PDC Healthcare products are used throughout every major hospital function to help organizations prevent medical errors to increase patient safety and financial performance, while maintaining compliance with important patient safety regulations. These include The Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Stage 2 Meaningful Use Requirements, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for patient identification.
