Cedexis, the leading provider of cloud and mobile app performance benchmarking and optimization across clouds, data centers and content delivery networks (CDNs), today announced that it has joined Juniper Networks SDN Technology Partner Program and will integrate the Cedexis Openmix platform, including the Cedexis Radar Real User telemetry, with Juniper Networks® Contrail, a standards-based and highly scalable network virtualization and intelligence solution for Software Defined Networks (SDN). This will enable enterprises to focus on optimized end-user experience performance for their web and mobile applications.

Cedexis data will inform the Contrail platform with unprecedented real-time visibility into the cloud and last-mile ISP performance being experienced by an enterprise’s end-user audience. The Cedexis Openmix platform also applies enterprise-specific business intelligence, such as desired service levels, contract commitments, outage and congestion detection, and costs.

“By combining Cedexis Radar and Juniper Networks Contrail, we will deliver on the SDN vision of web and mobile experiences that are uniquely optimized for actual end users. The ability to use real-time big data sets, such as Cedexis Radar real-end-user telemetry, to shape and control Contrail SDN-enabled networks will provide performance benefits for end users along with control, differentiation and costs benefits for enterprises,” said Marty Kagan, CEO of Cedexis, Inc.

“The integration of Juniper Networks Contrail and Cedexis-optimized end-user data sets will allow our mutual customers to realize the promise of SDN while improving network agility, reducing costs and minimizing risk,” said Aruna Ravichandran, vice president, marketing and strategy, Software Solutions Division at Juniper Networks. “The joint solution, built on open and proven standards, will enable our customers to deploy a highly dynamic, business KPI-driven network that better meets their business needs.”

Based on proven open standards, Juniper Networks Contrail is bringing networking into the cloud era by simplifying the approach of connecting networks and delivering underlying services. Juniper’s approach will help customers improve agility while reducing costs and minimizing risk. The unique analytics capability of Contrail supports greater insights and visibility into network performance.

Kagan continued, “The Openmix platform was built with the ability to expose our real-time data to SDN elements, such as Contrail, in mind. We look forward to bringing this solution to market as soon as the integration and optimization testing is completed.”
