Central Atlanta Progress and Downtown Office Buildings Partner With American Textile Recycling for Charitable Clothing Drive Proceeds Benefit City of Refuge, Atlanta
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 13, 2013 -- Central Atlanta Progress and the Atlanta Downtown Improvement District have joined efforts with the Downtown office community to host a recycling drive for gently used textile materials September 16th through 27th, 2013.
Four Downtown office buildings have stepped up to host drop-off bins in their buildings, including the Hurt Building, Peachtree Center, 191 Peachtree Street and 260/270 Peachtree Street. During the two-week campaign, the bins will be open for drop-off of unwanted and worn clothing, shoes, linens, towels and other household goods.
“We are pleased to partner with our office buildings in this important program,” said A.J. Robinson, President of Central Atlanta Progress. “With an estimated 130,000 employees in the Downtown area, I’m confident that together we can make a significant contribution to the effort.”
The total weight of the recycled items will be measured at the end of the two-week period with each property receiving an award from Central Atlanta Progress and American Textile Recycling Services. American Textile Recycling Services will also make a donation to City of Refuge, Atlanta on behalf of the participating properties.
