PowerTest 2014 is set for the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center, Denver, Colorado, from March 3—6, 2014, featuring educational presentations, panel discussions, seminars, and a world-class trade show that leverages expertise within the electrical power industry.
Those arriving on Sunday are invited to take part in the Rock the Rockies pub crawl and scavenger hunt in downtown Denver, featuring stops at places like Coyote Ugly and Hard Rock Café.
Monday’s technical tracks kick off with the insightful keynote speaker, Nicholas A. Brown, President and Chief Executive Officer of Southwest Power Pool, speaking about The Transition to Mandatory Standards – Six Years and Counting, Time for the Adolescent Clumsiness to End!
Monday continues with 27 different detailed technical tracks focusing on electrical safety, reliability, equipment, case studies, and transformers. A symposium on power transformers is also scheduled along with the New Product Forum which leads into an evening of Hospitality Suites hosted by industry leaders providing access to experts with the latest solutions and giving attendees a chance to network and exchange ideas.
Tuesday’s Panel Sessions are moderated by industry experts and will focus on safety, circuit breakers, transformers, and relays. Attendees enjoy this open dialogue with peers and experts alike.
On Wednesday and Thursday, guests can extend their technical education by enrolling in as many as four in-depth seminars that offer advanced technical training on key electrical power industry topics. PowerTest seminars include titles such as Basic Power Factor Theory to Specialty Transformer Testing – Dry Types, Rectifiers, and Instrument Transformers.
PowerTest 2014 will also host over 100 exhibitors and more than 700 guests at the PowerTest Trade Show. With more than 100 exhibits from top tier electrical vendors, it is the largest of its kind.
