ProcessBarron will attend and co-sponsor the second Jansen Biomass Boiler Workshop of the year in at the Embassy Suites Portland – Airport in Portland, Ore., September 19–20, 2013. An annual event for representatives from the pulp and paper, independent power, utility, and energy-from-waste industries, the Jansen seminar seeks to educate attendees about new technologies capable of improving biomass boiler burning capacity, efficiency, emissions, and overall performance.
Representatives from ProcessBarron will conduct three technical sessions at the event. Brian Buchanan, Material Handling Manager, will deliver an overview of biomass material handling, covering both fuel and ash handling equipment. Allen Ray, Director of the Air & Gas Handling Group, will speak about modern centrifugal fan design and how to size, operate and upgrade fans and draft system to maximize efficiency. Regional Manager Ashley Doyal will discuss the engineering, performance and benefits of large-tube multiclone dust collectors.
