“We have many good things planned for our new Clearwater, Florida location. We look forward to continuing our time-honored traditions in the many days to come," says John LaSpina, President Maple Family Centers.

The LaSpina Family may be the new owners of Countryside Lanes at 27867 US Hwy 19 N Clearwater, Florida, but they are no strangers to the bowling industry. As the proprietors of Maple Family Centers, their love of the sport has been in their blood for the past 53 years. For three generations, they have retrofitted various bowling centers into what many have called their “home away from home.”

Although Countryside is their first Florida location, it is their 5th family-owned bowling facility. They currently operate four centers in the New York metropolitan area. Each location has a strong upholding of traditional family bowling in contemporary atmospheres. The staff strives to provide a positive bowling experience, whether patrons professionally compete, bowl in a league or just for fun. Open at 9am daily and closing late, they preserve the time-honored style of traditional bowling, all while being diverse enough to suit all crowds - the very essence of the sport itself.

President John LaSpina and son Joseph invest in their facilities, lanes and machines and especially in their team – a formula for success that has worked for half a century. John LaSpina has held virtually all of the industry’s volunteer positions, including the national presidency of BPAA. He is in the NYC Hall of Fame and is the 2002 Victor Lerner Memorial Medal recipient, which places him in BPAA’s Hall of Fame. His son Joe has been a member of the BPAA Board of Directors and heads the BPAA’s technology committee. Both have a deep understanding of bowling culture and their customer’s needs. From the traditional bowler to the contemporary bowler, their facilities cater to bowlers of all levels and abilities.

Owner John LaSpina commented, “We have many good things planned for our new Clearwater, Florida location. We look forward to continuing our time-honored traditions in the many days to come. From my family to yours, enjoy the 2013-2014 bowling season. We wish you great scores, great moments and great friendship.”

At Countryside Lanes, Lucky’s Sports Bar and Café is open and as always, leagues, tournament bowling, bowling parties and junior bowling are in full swing. For more information, visit http://www.countrysidelanes.net or call 727-796-8100.
