Focus on Lymphoma is the most comprehensive mobile app for lymphoma -- with you anytime, anywhere.
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 16, 2013
The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) – the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted to funding innovative lymphoma research and serving the lymphoma community through a comprehensive series of education programs, outreach initiatives and patient services – is pleased to announce the launch of Focus On Lymphoma, a free mobile application designed to help patients and caregivers better understand and manage their disease. Focus on Lymphoma is the first app of its kind to deliver multi-media content based on a person’s lymphoma subtype, as well as provide an opportunity to save questions, record doctor sessions, and track blood results and symptoms. Focus On Lymphoma is available for download on Apple devices in the Apple App Store and for Android devices on Google Play.
“The launch of the Focus on Lymphoma app demonstrates the Lymphoma Research Foundation’s commitment to better serving the lymphoma community,” said Elizabeth Thompson, LRF Chief Executive Officer. “The Focus On Lymphoma app is a comprehensive toolkit for patients and their loved ones, enabling them to have all of their disease information at their fingertips whenever they need it most.”
The mobile application features comprehensive disease information that can be tailored to a person’s particular lymphoma subtype, as well as tools to help track and manage symptoms, medicines and doctor appointments. The app was developed based on feedback from members of the lymphoma community and addresses many of the needs of those touched by this blood cancer. The Foundation’s app serves as an interactive and functional toolkit to help better navigate and manage a lymphoma diagnosis.
“The Lymphoma Research Foundation’s app is an important part of the healthcare process, empowering patients with the tools and knowledge necessary to make the most of their doctor visits.” said Dr. Anas Younes, Chief of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s Lymphoma Service. “As technology continues to become an increasingly important source of health information, LRF’s app will prove invaluable for patients since it provides credible information and resources to help make informed decisions regarding treatment and care.”
The Focus on Lymphoma app is available for Apple iPhone, iPad and iTouch devices. It is also available for Android phones and tablets. For more information or to download the Lymphoma Research Foundation’s Focus On Lymphoma app, visit focusonlymphoma.org.
