Notus Sports Partners with Dance Marathon at UVA to Host Charlottesville’s Color for the Kids 5K Race
(PRWEB) September 17, 2013 -- Notus Sports announced today that they will host the Color for the Kids 5K Race in partnership with Dance Marathon at UVA on Saturday, September 28th. The race starts at 9:00 a.m. and begins at Nameless Field and runs throughout UVA grounds. Notus Sports and Dance Marathon at UVA have teamed up to benefit UVA Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network.
Participants will receive a race commemorative T-shirt and a paint packet. The Color for the Kids 5K is part of Notus Sports’ Hoos Heal Series, a charitable race series that benefits the University of Virginia Medical Center. The event will also feature a DJ after the race for dancing and continued fun with the race paints.
"This is a unique and colorful event for students and families alike," said Glen Slosson Founder and CEO of Notus Sports. “Notus is excited to be partnering with the UVA Hospital on another event, and we are happy to bring the community another fun event focused on healthy living and directly benefiting a great cause."
Dance Marathon at UVA will also have a team at the event for Dance Marathon registrations and donations to the cause. Dance Marathon at UVA is a non-profit organization that fundraises throughout the year for the UVA Children’s Hospital as part of the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). UVA Dance Marathon is a member of the Coalition against Cancer at the University of Virginia, an alliance among multiple cancer-fighting student organizations here in Charlottesville.
