Tokio Marine Europe Insurance has strengthened its position in the marine market by appointing Wayne Krause as European Head of Marine Underwriting. His new position now includes direct responsibility for the UK marine portfolio in addition to oversight of Tokio Marine Europe Insurance’s marine underwriting activities on the continent.

Wayne’s appointment reflects the strategic importance of marine business to Tokio Marine Europe Insurance's continued development in the UK and on the continent.

Alastair Blundell, Executive Operations Officer, commented that "Wayne’s appointment reflects the strategic importance of marine business to Tokio Marine Europe Insurance’s continued development in the UK and on the Continent. We have developed a diverse and significant account over the past several years and under Wayne’s leadership we see this development accelerating as we devote more resource to this key area of our activities."

Krause has over 25 years of experience in marine underwriting and held senior positions with Zurich and FM Global before joining Tokio Marine Europe Insurance in 2006 to act as Corporate Marine Underwriting manager for Europe.
