Carter Bales Headlines Ivy Family Office Network New York City Forum
New York, NY (PRWEB) September 17, 2013 -- Carter Bales of New World Capital Group headlined the Ivy Family Office Network NY Trends in Family Offices Forum with a discussion on "Non Correlated Investment Strategies." The Forum was held on September 10th in New York City, NY.
According to Mr. Bales, "The U.S., Canada and other industrialized nations have dramatic opportunities for environmental business growth with high economic value to the end customer, high levels of market and product innovation, and relatively low competitive intensity in markets that are experiencing rapid primary demand growth." And, "There are private equity style approaches that can generate substantial economic returns to investors. NewWorld concentrates on businesses with no tech risk, a sustainable business proposition, and explicit ways of mitigating other investment risks."
Moreover, "Overall trends favor environmental companies with 'high necessity' characteristics and low 'regulatory' risk. We look at companies that do not require material changes in end-market behavior for growth. One example is in distributed solar financing and roof-mounted solar innovations where demand and installation is increasing dramatically and tax codes favor action prior to potential 2016 expiration."
Other speakers on the panel included Alexander Lloyd of Accelerator Ventures, Bruce Wilcox of Xiling Group, LLC, Don Putnam of Grail Partners/Chalice Fund and Irwin Latner of Herrick Feinstein.
