Manny Manuel, International Recording Artist and Contestant on Univision’s ¡Mira Quién Baila! Announces the National Alliance for Hispanic Health as Charity of Choice
Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 16, 2013 -- “Last night, Manny Manuel not only heated up the dance floor, but he touched our hearts with his support of the Alliance and our work for healthy communities and families,” said Dr. Jane L. Delgado, President and CEO of the National Alliance for Hispanic Heath.
The fourth season of Univision’s phenomenally successful reality show/dance competition ¡Mira Quién Baila! (Look Who’s Dancing!) premiered with a cast of ten contestants, including international recording artist Manny Manuel. The ten Hispanic celebrities have signed up for the challenge of dancing their way to a $150,000 cash prize to be donated to the charity of their choice.
The Alliance has announced that any donation they receive will support the Alliance’s signature ¡Vive tu vida! Get Up! Get Moving!® program, the nation’s premier family physical activity and healthy lifestyle event series. Celebrating culture and community, every year the events are made possible by over 400 community partners and thousands of volunteers.
Over 100,000 people have attended these free, fun, family events providing opportunities for physical activity for people of all ages and all sizes, information on good nutrition, and life-saving health screenings for the whole community. All participants also have the opportunity to join the Alliance’s free Buena Salud Club, including a bilingual and toll free number (1-866-783-2645) where members can get answers to health questions year round and connected to health resources, including physical activity programs, in their community.
“We are honored that Manny Manuel has chosen the Alliance as the charity he will be competing for this season. His support means the world to us and his work on ¡Mira Quién Baila! is showing us all that dance is a great and fun way to make movement a daily part of our lives. We are proud to be a part of #MQBManny,” concluded Dr. Delgado.
