The GeniusCentral platform includes the BuyingGenius™ procurement program and the SupplierGenius™ management console, and provides the retail industry with the standardization of product data, taxonomy, pack size and order unit consistency.
Sprouts’ vendors will begin using the SupplierGenius website for catalog uploads and purchase order management by November 1, 2013. Sprouts will use the BuyingGenius solution for all ordering as an upgrade from various other ordering methods. The new program will enable role-based order management that provides transparency across retailers and brokers for all ordering.
The GeniusCentral platform will offer advanced capabilities to Sprouts buyers and merchandisers, including centralized new product selection with vendors, coordinated promotional buying, and consumer-facing promotional campaign execution. It also provides many tools for Sprouts’ supplier partners, including standardized purchase order submission, online catalog, deal management, data quality and performance metrics.
