Oligo Factory Expands Custom DNA/RNA Synthesis Facility to Accommodate Growing Global Research Demands
Holliston, MA (PRWEB) September 19, 2013 -- The Oligo Factory, a provider of quality custom DNA/RNA synthesis services, announced plans to expand its facilities to accommodate growing market demand for mg to gram scale custom oligonucleotides, derivatives and modifications. The expanded facility will house additional synthesis and purification instrumentation and expand capacity to enable the company to serve its growing global customer base.
Founded in 2006, The Oligo Factory serves researchers who require intermediate scale quantities of synthetic DNA/RNA typically used in biological research, diagnostics and drug discovery. The company synthesizes oligos with most modifications, either 3', 5' or internal. Reverse phase or ion-exchange liquid chromatography are used for purification, depending upon the specific oligo requirement. To assure quality, each oligo is analyzed by high resolution ion-exchange chromatography and ESI/LC/Mass Spectrometry (electrospray ionization liquid chromatography mass spectrometry) to ensure specifications are met. The company also accommodates special requests for supplemental QA requirements, such as endotoxin testing, aliquotting and conductivity measurements.
The company employs skilled chromatographers, synthesis chemists and instrumentation engineers. The company founders have a combined total of more than 40 years of experience in operating oligo synthesis services as well as designing equipment and labs for large and small scale oligo synthesis.
