LRP Publications President Honored With Distinguished Leadership Award
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida (PRWEB) September 17, 2013 -- LRP Publications, producer of national conferences and professional research services, announced that its founder and President, Kenneth Kahn, received the 2013 Business Development Board’s (BDB) Economic Development Leadership Award. Kahn was presented the award at the BDB’s annual gala held last week at The Breakers Palm Beach.
The Leadership Award, the only one given annually by the BDB, is presented to the business leader who has had the greatest impact on the organization in leading programs that are most beneficial to Palm Beach County’s economy.
Kahn was instrumental in launching the BDB’s new economic development strategy called “Behind the Gates”. The new initiative focused on selling Palm Beach County as a business location to CEOs with second homes in the area but no business presence.
He was also honored for launching a second new project at the BDB while serving as the co-chair of the Branding and Marketing Education Taskforce. His efforts while leading this team resulted in the first ever comprehensive marketing strategy of its kind not only in Palm Beach County but in the state of Florida. With the creation of a new website and brochures, CEOs new to the area are now able to easily navigate school options for their children in elementary, middle and high schools.
“16 years ago LRP was recruited to Palm Beach County by the Business Development Board,” said Kahn. “Now that Palm Beach County is my home it is important to help make this the best place to locate and run a business.”
Kahn was presented with his award by the 2012-2013 BDB Chairman, Rex Kirby of Suffolk Construction.
