Nashville Pro Songwriter Visits Manhattan, Kansas NSAI Chapter
Manhattan, Kansas (PRWEB) September 17, 2013 -- Nashville pro songwriter, Amanda Williams will stop through Manhattan, Kansas to visit the local NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) Chapter on her way to speak at the Durango Songwriters Expo in Broomfield, Colorado.
The Manhattan based North Central Kansas NSAI Chapter is among the most active songwriting groups in the country, thanks to the strong leadership of Ken Matthiesen and David Thompson. Every year, Matthiesen coordinates 25 acts from all over the country for 4 days of the Country Stampede, plus the annual kick off party the night before at Cox Bros. BBQ.
Williams's "Beer Run" earned a Grammy nomination for Garth Brooks and George Jones, and as a performer, she has entertained two US Presidents. Her ability to teach the fundamentals of the songwriting business is garnering national recognition, and she was recently named NSAI’s newest Pro on the Road songwriting educator in June 2013.
“Amanda is on a mission to visit with songwriters and I hope we can show up in force to support her,” says Ken Matthiesen regarding the Wednesday, September 25th. “Let’s return Amanda’s passion for music and songwriters by showing her how many very dedicated songwriters are in this area.”
During her visit, Amanda will speak to the local songwriting community at Cox Bros. BBQ located at 223 McCall Road in Manhattan, KS starting at 6PM followed by an acoustic performance with local favorites, Dillon Ray and Lucas Maddy at 7PM.
