Hotel Vendome and Girls’ Guide to Paris Present Luxe Five Star Event to Support Charity and Celebrate Launch of New Lifestyle Magazine
(PRWEB UK) 18 September 2013 -- Girls Guide to Paris ET PLUS and HOTEL VENDOME located on the famous Place Vendome will join together with luxury brands Perrin Paris, Ann Gerard Parfums, and Cristofle for a Champagne and Cocktail Launch Party on October 3rd, the close of Paris Fashion Week 2013, along with notable French luxury beauty brands. Ann Gerard Parfums, Cristofle, and Perrin Paris have each donated an exquisite selection of luxury gifts to raise money for the charity partners via a unique online platform (https://www.everribbon.com/ribbon/view/14327) and will be present for the festivities.
Paris Fashion Week 2013 is the perfect backdrop for the launch of the new e-magazine Girls Guide to Paris ET PLUS, an extension of the travel website Girls Guide to Paris that has a devoted fan base of over 100,000 readers monthly and more than 1.2 million yearly. Hotel Vendome is the presenting sponsor for the event.
The e-magazine’s launch issue features signature travel tips about Paris from “one girlfriend to another” but now there is ET PLUS (or “much more”) in each and every issue. The ‘more’ in the title refers to the myriad of global destinations the magazine will cover beyond the central destination city, Paris. The launch issue premiered on September 10, 2013 and features France in glorious detail: grape harvesting in Bordeaux, touring chateaux in the Loire Valley and a primer on the best Autumn Escapes in Provence. For urbanites, a side trip to London and New York features edgy and eclectic neighborhoods to prowl before winter arrives.
Each bi-monthly issue will continue to feature Paris and France as its central themes but will explore other world destinations (Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas) to inspire “Girls’ Guide” readers. The magazine will also offer lush travel photography making it a must-have for its devoted audience of ipad and smartphone users. The e-magazine offers the launch issue for free to share with friends Subscriptions are $19.95. (http://girlsguidetoparis.com/subscribe-to-the-girls-guide-magazine/)
With a $50.00 minimum donation to support the charities, a one-year subscription is offered as a gift (https://www.everribbon.com/ribbon/view/14327 http://girlsguidetoparis.com/subscribe-to-the-girls-guide-magazine/).
In 2007, Whitney created Ubuntu Africa in response to her experience volunteering at a South African orphanage, where she saw children die due to lack of basic resources. Ubuntu provides these critical care resources and services to over 200+ HIV positive children in Khayelitsha, South Africa (http://ubafrica.org/). Doni Belau, founder of “Girls’ Guide to Paris” and an Ubuntu board member, thought it was the perfect time to join with Whitney Johnson (Founder) to celebrate. "I am so pleased that I can share my two passions: travel and giving back to the world community. Joining with our presenting sponsor, Hotel Vendome, and other generous luxury partners to celebrate our launch and support the extraordinary efforts of our charities, is a dream come true."
Place Vendôme itself has always been an exclusive address, filled with three centuries of art, culture, history and elegance. The HOTEL VENDOME has gone from royal to private residence to a seat for government. But on October 3rd, it will be the scene of the “Girls Guide to Paris ET PLUS” celebration with award winning cuisine provided by Chef Marie, known for his creativity. He will be joined by luxury partners Ann Gerard, creator of Ann Gerard Parfums who present her exclusive Perfume Trio. Cristofle, the fine French silver house will share their latest designer lifestyle and home collection. Perrin, Paris will highlight their Fall 2013 Collections. Each guest will receive a Luxe Gift Bag. Online guests can join in the fun by donating to win exciting gifts and experiences including: a Luxe Paris apartment stay, a pair of tickets to the Hotel Vendome Launch Party, perfumes from Ann Gerard, a monogrammed silver serving tray from Cristofle, and the signature “Ball Bag” designed by Perrin Paris. This is just the beginning of what awaits generous donors who contribute to support these worthy causes.
