london (PRWEB UK) 17 September 2013 -- PaymentSense, the UK’s largest merchant service provider, has been ranked seventh in the 2013 Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 which features the fastest growing tech companies in the UK.
PaymentSense saw annual sales growth of 197.7% over the three years and recorded total sales of £12.4 million for the year 2012/13. Earlier this year, the payment provider was ranked 24th in the Media Momentum Awards 2013, a league table for the top 50 fastest growing digital companies in Europe. Commenting on the announcement, Jan Farrarons, one of the founders and directors of PaymentSense, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have placed seventh in this year’s Tech Track 100. We’ve worked incredibly hard over the last few years to reach this point and so it’s hugely rewarding for everyone here at PaymentSense to see our company featuring near the top of such a prestigious table.”
George Karibian, fellow founder and director of the company, added: "This is the sixth time that a business I have founded ranks in the Tech Track 100. I am particularly proud of what the team at PaymentSense have achieved, not just for disrupting a bank dominated market, but also for helping tens of thousands of SMEs in a difficult economic environment."
Now in its 13th year, the Tech Track 100 league table recognises the UK companies from the technology, media and telecoms sectors with fastest growing sales over the last three years.
The 100 companies featured in this year’s list grew their sales over the last three years by an average of 92% a year to a total of £2.6bn and together they employ more than 12,100 staff, having added than nearly 9,000 jobs over the period.
Steve Langan, managing director of Hiscox UK and Ireland, the title sponsor of the league table, commented: “The passion, determination and resilience that this year’s Tech Track 100 businesses have demonstrated is no mean feat given the economic context and continued challenging trading conditions. We are pleased to be able to celebrate some of the brave and the bold tech companies that exist up and down the country, and hope that their success now inspires others too.”
