Author Tony Macaulay touring US with the new release from HarperCollins "Paperboy"

Released in the USA in September 2013, Macaulay’s first book, published by HarperCollins, is his critically acclaimed memoir, Paperboy; the autobiographical stories follow his childhood in 1970s West Belfast as a paperboy during the time of turbulent conflicts known as “The Troubles” in Northern Ireland. Paperboy is a fit balance of significant social history in Northern Ireland and entertaining humor. The book tells the warm, funny and nostalgic story of Macaulay’s years as the 12-year-old paperboy delivering the Belfast Telegraph from 1975 to 1977, a compelling time in Belfast.

A sequel, Breadboy was published in Ireland in the Spring of 2013 by Blackstaff Press and has become Macaulay’s second critically acclaimed Irish bestseller.

HarperCollins published Paperboy in the USA on 3rd September 2013, and the film rights of Paperboy have been picked up by Titian Red Pictures, producers of the award winning “Song for a Raggy Boy.”
