The Naval Aviation Museum Foundation invites the public to visit the Naval Aviation Museum in celebration of its 50th anniversary. Join us for three days of special events and aircraft displays on Oct. 3, 4 and 5, culminating with a black-tie 50th anniversary gala on Saturday, Oct. 5. Enjoy special 50th anniversary menu at the Cubi Point Café, and shop for limited-edition anniversary items at the Flight Deck Museum Store. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of history and celebrate this community treasure, the National Naval Aviation Museum.

Thursday, October 3
Noon – 50th anniversary golf tournament at A.C. Read Golf Course, NAS Pensacola. Contact Leslie Geiger at (850) 453-2389 ext. 3233 or lgeiger(at)navalaviationmuseum.org to register. $50 per person

Friday, October 4
9 am - Museum opens. First 50 entrants receive a free souvenir 50th anniversary coin (limit one per family)
Special display of the latest in aerospace technology, Northrop-Grumman’s X-47B unmanned tactical aircraft
Aviation art show display in the Quarterdeck area
10 am and 1 pm - 50th anniversary museum tour “Walk through Naval Aviation History”
11:00 am to 2 pm. Museum Historian and author Hill Goodspeed and book designer Michael Duncan preview and sign copies of the Museum Aircraft Collection and Museum Artifact Collection books.

Saturday, October 5
10 am. Museum opens. First 50 entrants receive a free souvenir 50th anniversary coin (limit one per family)
Special display of the latest in aerospace technology, Northrop-Grumman’s X-47B unmanned tactical aircraft
Aviation art show display in the Quarterdeck area
10 am and 1 pm - 50th anniversary museum tour “Walk through Naval Aviation History”
10:30 am to 4 pm. Car show featuring the Ford Mustang as it approaches its 50th anniversary in 2014
11 am.- Free IMAX film featuring the Blue Angels in action; The Magic of Flight, on the IMAX giant screen.

Saturday night, October 5
6:30 pm -50th Anniversary black-tie gala celebration at the National Naval Aviation Museum, reservations and tickets are required. Tickets are available for purchase online at http://www.NavalAviationMuseum.org/50, by phone at (850) 453-2389 ext. 3233 or in person at the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation office. Proceeds benefit the Naval Aviation Museum and Foundation.
