After raising $40,000 from fans to take her Power Hour Drinking Game Concert across the US, musician and entrepreneur, Ali Spagnola, is auditioning performers to join her on tour. The selected performer will act as "party catalyst," adding to the crowd excitement during her show and may also become the opening or closing act for her concert. Spagnola and her new touring teammate will be taking her innovative Drinking Game Concert to over 20 cities across the nation.
Spagnola’s concert doubles as an interactive drinking game. She performs 60, one-minute songs while the audience cheers and takes a drink every time she changes the music. Earlier this year, partiers across the internet helped Spagnola raise $40,000 through crowdfunding in order to take her Power Hour Concert across the nation. The outpouring of money and enthusiasm has allowed Spagnola to plan a US tour from October to November. (To find out when you can catch Ali on her Freedom Victory Tour and experience her unique show/party consisting of 60 one-minute songs live, sign up for updates at http://www.powerhouralbum.com).
To find a performer to join her tour, Spagnola is taking the lead as casting director and accepting submissions from a wide range of performers including comedians, improvisers, musicians, YouTubers, hosts, actors and DJs. During the concert Spagnola’s teammate will be on stage and off, engaging the audience and helping to get the crowd loosened up and excited. Depending upon his or her talent, the teammate may also be the music or comedy opening/closing act.
Auditioners can submit a video illustrating what they’ll bring to the show by uploading to YouTube and emailing a link to casting(at)powerhouralbum(dot)com along with their name, age and a short paragraph about themselves. A resume, personal website and links to social profiles are also encouraged. Past experience and a fan base is a plus but not required. This is a paid role that also includes all travel and lodging. Auditioners must be 21 years or older and open to helping with driving between cities. The tour runs from Oct. 15th to Nov. 27th. The submission deadline is Thursday, Sept. 26th.
"I’m super psyched to be taking my show across the country," Spagnola said, "and I’m looking forward to finding a talented person that’s excited as me to join the party!"
