Travizon, one of the country’s top ranked global travel management firms, today announced its strategic partnership with Yapta's FareIQ airfare tracking solution. Through FareIQ, Travizon clients will be alerted to price drop opportunities on specified itineraries, allowing buyers to secure the best rates—even when shopping for a preferred carrier, preferred travel dates, travel times, seat classes, and other criteria. Travizon will retain control of any rebookings that are selected, while overseeing clients’ air-based credits and ticket exchanges.

“The FareIQ solution is part of our continuous investment in client offerings,” explained Matt Cummings, CFO and COO of Travizon and Chairman of GlobalStar. “In today’s climate, managed travel needs to address more than just cost savings,” qualified Cummings. “Our team and our clients are ultimately focused on overall travel experiences and traveler satisfaction. The Fare IQ technology supports travel planning and budgeting without sacrificing personalized itineraries—keeping the ROI of business travel at the forefront of everything we do.”

According to the FareIQ overview on intelligent price tracking, nearly ten percent of corporate itineraries qualify for a savings alert within the first seven months of monitoring. And the average savings potential totals $386 per trip. Collectively, FareIQ users are reducing total air spend by nearly four percent. For individual metrics, travel managers can easily access their program savings, using FareIQ’s web-based dashboard.

FareIQ’s dynamic monitoring goes into effect at the time of booking, and continues tracking price drops through the day of departure. Based on average metrics gathered from Fortune 500 company users, identified savings could total $974 thousand in less than three business quarters. FareIQ is a product of the travel technology group, Yapta.
