iSmartAlarm Home Security System Announces Launch of Android Support and App
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) September 18, 2013 -- iSmart Alarm, Inc. (iSmartAlarm.com) has announced that the Android App for their iSmartAlarm Home Security System is now available and free for download in Google Play in North America. The recently-released App will allow users of popular Android devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One, and Motorola Droid RAZR to get all the benefits that iPhone users have enjoyed thus far. The iSmartAlarm system has been designed and created to fill the many gaps that exist in the home security space – specifically, providing a home security solution that is portable, easy to set up, wireless, and gives the user the opportunity to customize their security to fit their mobile lifestyle.
The system communicates through the user’s smartphone, giving access to monitoring, system control, and statistics to increase the safety of home, property, and family. There are no contracts, no monthly fees, and the system itself costs less than 6 months of monitored services from traditional monitoring services. A major benefit to the system is that it can cover an entire home, big or small, including individual rooms as well as entryways. The system can be utilized right out of the box, or can be expanded with any of the iSmartAlarm sensor products.
The Android app's functionality is the same as the previously released iPhone app. Users are able to log onto the app and instantly see the status of their home – Whether members of their family are home or away, if windows or doors are opened or closed, and see a log of activity in the home. Arming, disarming, and notification features give a comprehensive view and control of the home. The goal is to constantly update both the iPhone and the Android Apps, with new features and customizations based on user feedback and market trends.
“The original catalyst for the iSmartAlarm system was admittedly Apple-based,” said Raymond Meng, Co-Founder and CEO. “Steve Jobs’ home was broken into in 2012 while being worked on, and tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of belongings were stolen. The home’s alarm had been deactivated because workers were constantly coming and going. In order for us to provide the largest possible value to society and consumers, we are constantly looking at ways to expand and provide the most benefit.”
With the iSmartAlarm system, users can arm or disarm their system from anywhere in the world they have internet service on their smartphone. With the optional iCamera™, users can also get a 350°x110° view of their home, day or night, controlling the pan and tilt of the camera’s viewing lens. The iCamera™ will take pictures automatically when the system is armed, and users can manually take pictures as well.
On the iSmartAlarm.com store, consumers are able to purchase packages including motion sensors, door and window sensors, home remote controls and panic sirens, the streaming and pan-tilt iCamera™ as well as individual devices a la carte. As new devices are added, iSmartAlarm customers will be able to add to their system to best fit their needs - Pet trackers, glass breakage sensors, temperature monitoring, and outdoor sensors are all on the immediate roadmap. The user’s system will automatically update to include any and all new devices.
