When the original PhotoTrackr Plus was released, photography enthusiasts were thrilled as they were finally able to get their hands on a simple and compact DSLR geotagging device. Due to the overwhelming demand, GiSTEQ is now releasing a new generation of Phototrackr Plus models for Nikon DSLR cameras.
The new PhotoTrackr Plus was created so amateur and professional photographers could have a geotagging system that would work seamlessly with their Nikon DSLR cameras. The new generation PhotoTrackr Plus connects via the accessory terminal, allowing photographers to keep their hot shoe open for flashes. The new PhotoTrackr Plus still includes 16 channels and a low power consumption design with an addition of an auto-sleep mode, saving power.
In the previous PhotoTrackr Plus models, users had to carry a Bluetooth device that would send GPS data via Bluetooth to the tagging device; which required more space and power. With the new PhotoTrackr Plus, the geotagging process is kept entirely in a single compact device. With all components within a single unit, the new generation PhotoTrackr Plus not only saves more power but also more reliable. With the separate GPS unit out of the way, users will not have to worry about connecting the PhotoTrackr Plus and the receiver via Bluetooth. The new PhotoTrackr Plus eliminates the need for batteries within the device. The new PhotoTrackr Plus can last as long as the camera does.
Reliability and design are not the only things that are new with the PhotoTrackr Plus; each device comes with a shutter release designed to work with the device. Of course the new PhotoTrackr Plus will still include both RAW and JPEG support.
“We wanted to create a geotagging device that would be small and compact enough so that users could take pictures without any distractions,” said Eric Liu, president of GiSTEQ Corporation.
The new generation of the PhotoTrackr Plus series is here. While maintaining the same features that photography enthusiasts have come to love in the previous PhotoTrackr Plus, GiSTEQ has given geotagging a new face. The PhotoTrackr Plus is available now at most major camera retailers and at http://www.gisteq.com/phototrackr/phototrackr-plus-2gen.php.
