First Lady of Malaysia to Visit the Anova Center for Education's San Rafael School for Autism
San Rafael, CA (PRWEB) September 19, 2013 -- The First Lady of Malaysia, Datin Sri Rosmah Mansor, has requested to visit The Anova Center for Education’s non-profit K-12 school for Autistic children in San Rafael, CA on Monday, September 23, 2013. The purpose of her visit is to learn more about Anova’s unique “Anova Method of Education”, training techniques and learning philosophy to assist Malaysia in developing a similar program for children with Autism and related disabilities.
First Lady Datin Sri Rosmah Mansor’s special area of interest is children’s education, and she has initiated the Permata early-childhood program in Malaysia which has established over 650 early childhood learning facilities across the country. She is now embarking on two new projects; the PEMATA Kurnia, a program for children with autism and Children Specialist Hospital. Both projects are in the process of implementation, which prompted her desire to learn more about Anova’s educational model. She is accompanying her husband, The Honorable Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak in San Francisco, while he serves as Chair of the 3rd Global Science International Advisory Council Meeting.
US Congressman Jared Huffman will join the Anova Founders in welcoming the First Lady of Malaysia to the Anova Center for Education (ACE) in San Rafael. Congressman Huffman is a champion of children’s causes and a long time supporter of Anova. Congressman Huffman will also serve as the Honorary Chair, alongside Event Chair Rick Wedge, at Anova’s upcoming ACE of Clubs Golf Tournament at the Marin Country Club on Monday, October 28, 2013. The tournament was recently rescheduled from September 23 to October 28 to accommodate the First Lady’s visit.
The ACE of Club’s Golf Tournament is one of their major fundraisers that directly benefits students by funding physical fitness and other enrichment programs at Anova’s three non-profit K-12 schools in Santa Rosa, San Rafael, and new school in Concord.
