La Bella Nail Spa Owners and Their Supporters to Rebuild Beloved Vung Tau, Vietnam Dock
Tacoma, Washington (PRWEB) September 19, 2013 -- Vung Tau, Vietnam holds a special place in the hearts of Tuan and Cici Ngo, owners of La Bella Nail Spa in Tacoma, Washington, along with their employees and many customers who have a close relationship with the Ngo’s. So much so, the Ngo’s decision to invite their customer friends to accompany them to their hometown produced interest from over 70 customers.
The trip, scheduled for January 2014, will give the Ngo’s a chance to tour a group of very excited customers through Vung Tau and several other nearby Vietnam communities. Prior to the trip, they are raising capital to replace a dock in Vung Tau that is in desperate disrepair and is at risk of complete collapse should a major storm occur. The less fortunate residents of Vung Tau rely on this dock every day for fishing and transportation and the children of Vung Tau also utilize it for swimming and play.
“Every year when we visit Vung Tau, we try to do something for the town that is in need. Previously, we were able to build a new dining hall for the Vung Tau orphanage and were overjoyed to see the difference it has made in the lives of so many young ones,” stated Tuan Ngo, owner of La Bella Nail Spa. “The dock has been in bad shape for many years and this year, we are excited to be able to rebuild it with the help of many generous and supportive customers.”
Ngo, a practicing architect, designed a concept for the dock renovations. He is anxious to see the project move forward in November 2013 once the funding has been raised. When the Ngo’s and their guests arrive in January, they will be able to visit the dock in its completed state and participate in the celebration the people of Vung Tau are already planning to thank the donors.
When Trudy Bussinger, a La Bella Nail Spa customer and trip attendee heard about the dock project, she was quick to offer a contribution. “Tuan and Cici have been so great to put together a trip that will be a once in a lifetime experience for all of us going,” reflects Bussinger, “I didn’t hesitate to donate when I heard about the project. It means a lot to me to be able to combine a wonderful adventure with an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the people we’re visiting.”
Donations are currently being taken at La Bella Nail Spa and on the community page of their website at: nailsalontacoma.com/community. Anyone who would like to donate is encouraged to visit the page. The projected cost of the dock is $9,000.00 U.S. dollars and in order to reach that goal, the salon has also committed to donating an entire day of proceeds to the project. Wednesday, October 9th, has been set aside to commemorate this special project at the salon, and La Bella invites anyone - who’d like to be pampered while also contributing to an excellent cause - to set an appointment in advance.
