Author creates new intricate world of fantasy to reignite passion for reading.

Writing this book served as my way of recovering from a massive stroke.

According to the Literacy Project Foundation, 44% of American adults do not read one full book per year. This tendency is borne out of childhood reading habits.

Author Snæbjörn hopes his new novel Forgemasters of the Realm: The Elven Tomes will instill a passion for reading in young people. Reading not only brings him joy, but also became a life-saving hobby.

“Writing this book served as my way of recovering from a massive stroke,” said Snæbjörn. “I was able to recover my faculties all while getting lost in a beautiful world of fiction, which never would have happened if I didn’t learn to love reading early in life.”

Snæbjörn creates an intricate realm of fantasy where gnomes, dwarves and elves must find the Book of Knowledge that controls the world. In their search they must traverse the world of humans and survive deceit, murder and civil war.

“The world needs a boost in literacy rates,” said Snæbjörn, “and fantasy fiction will not only stimulate reading but also inspire a child’s imagination leading to a lifetime of creativity.”
