Seattle glass artists unite for a benefit and auction to help a fellow glass artist's two-year old son battle Leukemia. The auction will include pieces from Dale Chihuly, Dante Marioni, Lino Taliapietra, and more.

The Seattle glass community has come together for a benefit and auction called Help Finn Win. The goal is to raise $75,000 with 100% of the proceeds going the Thorbeck/Cunningham family to help cover medical costs associated with their son’s medical treatments. The auction includes pieces from Dale Chihuly, Dante Marioni, Lino Tagliapietra, Preston Singletary, Benjamin Moore and many others. Sponsors of the event include: Chihuly Studio, Glassybaby, and Schantz Galleries.

"The outpouring of support for Finn and his family has been amazing," commented fellow glassblower and organizer, John Kiley, "The community has really come together in an unprecedented way to help fellow artists win their fight against Leukemia."

Finn was diagnosed in early 2013 with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. More than 2,700 children are diagnosed each year. Finn’s treatment includes three years of chemotherapy.

"We have loved watching Finn develop and grow despite the hardships he has faced these past six months. We have a long road ahead of us but with the love from our friends and family, Finn's future is bright. We look forward to seeing Finn beat cancer for good and live a life full of adventures, laughter and happiness." - Mary Anne Thorbeck, Finn’s Grandmother.

Tickets for Help Finn Winn are sold out, but items from the catalog are still available for purchase. The event takes place Thursday, September 19th from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. To learn more about Finn, his family, and the event, visit: http://www.helpFinnwin.com.
