Viridian Spark

I really like that Verndale works proactively with clients – just as we did at Viridian Spark. But Verndale’s depth of services beyond technology mean that we can now offer customers so much more.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) September 18, 2013

Verndale is pleased to announce the acquisition of Viridian Spark, a boutique digital technology agency specializing in Sitecore-based development. As part of the acquisition, Viridian Spark employees will be joining Verndale taking on key roles throughout the organization. In addition, Verndale will assume many of the agency’s clients through a seamless transition process. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition will boost Verndale’s already extensive Sitecore expertise including the addition of a third Sitecore MVP - among the most in the industry. MVPs are expert developers who have been recognized for their contributions to the Sitecore community. With competition for experienced developer resources at unprecedented levels, the opportunity to gain access to an entire team was an important factor in the decision to acquire Viridian Spark.

Huy Tran, one of Viridian Spark’s founders, will establish Verndale’s Houston office. This will expand the company’s presence in the central region of the United States and follows on the opening of Verndale’s office in Chicago earlier in the year.

“Viridian Spark is a great fit for Verndale – our cultures, skillsets and goals are all aligned.” said Matt Pisapia, chief operating officer at Verndale. “We’re really excited to add so many skilled team members, as well as key leadership talent and look forward to working with a great set of new clients. By any measure this acquisition better positions Verndale to deliver on our growth strategy by solidifying our presence in the central region with an office in Houston while expanding our overall capacity and ability to execute.”

“I really like that Verndale works proactively with clients – just as we did at Viridian Spark. But Verndale’s depth of services beyond technology mean that we can now offer customers so much more,” said Nate Palmer, Viridian Spark co-founder. “Knowing that our customers would be well taken care of was one the key reasons we have joined with Verndale.”

Viridian Spark was founded in 2009 and in a short time developed deep relationships across a number of vertical markets including higher education, healthcare and legal. Key clients include Cushman & Wakefield, Maybelline and the University of Massachusetts Boston, among others.
