Configa, Sirangam Zamreinao and The Backdoor Band Win The BEAT100 World Music Chart This September
(PRWEB) September 19, 2013 -- The BEAT100 team is proud to announce the winners of September 2nd World Music Video Chart. Huge congratulations to the three winners; first place has been awarded to Configa, second place to Sirangam Zamreinao and third place goes to The Backdoor Band. These talented musicians have captured the attention of their viewers and the BEAT100 team, achieving the highest number of votes and cash prizes.
Configa has topped the World Music Chart with his ‘Tribute to John Vietnam’. This is not the first time Configa has graced the BEAT100 World Music Chart, having been labeled a winner for a fourth time in a row. On his first attempt at reaching the top spot, Configa placed chart entry on the same day that he joined the site; a true measure of his talent and determination.
Since falling in love with hip-hop at a young age, Configa has perfected his sound after years of self- producing/mixing/manufacturing and financing his own music. Alongside his back-catalogue of eagerly received mixtapes, Configa is now working on a collaboration album with New York based MC, HaStyle, to be released in early 2014. His ear for using the perfect sample and hard hitting drums has made him a front runner in the BEAT100 charts, and he has found his experience on the site ‘very rewarding indeed.’ He says ‘Thank you to everybody for their awesome support, and to BEAT100 for creating this unique and exciting platform to make it possible. The network is ever evolving and it's a pleasure to be a successful part of the movement.’
In second place we have Sirangam Zamreinao, a Performance Award Winner for his vocal ability. Zamreinao has come close to the top 3 before, previously sweeping into 6th place, and now climbing even higher in the BEAT100 Word Music Chart. His unique covers of chart favourites have landed him in the top 3 and his supporters look forward to more from this proficient vocalist.
Sirangam Zamreinao began singing at a young age, inspired by his family’s love of music, and his uncle who received an award from the president of India for his work in the music industry. His love and talent continued to grow as he did, and he began to be influenced by a variety of genres, from Rock to RnB. Zamreinao is a huge supporter of his fellow BEAT100 musicians, taking time to listen and watch other musicians’ videos and take part in voting for his competitors. He finds fellow musicians motivate him and he takes inspiration from all forms of musicianship, hence his recent second place win with his 'La La La' cover, originally by Naughty Boy feat. Sam Smith. He views this appreciation as ‘the character of a real musician, respecting others for their great work’. With many more awards to be won and plenty more videos to be seen, Zamreinao says ‘all in all, it [BEAT100] has been a spectacular experience so far.’
Finally, rockin’ in to third place, we have The Backdoor Band. These Macedonian rockers have a plethora of BEAT100 awards on their shelf, including 3 Gold Awards for their video, original song and being a BEAT100 Team favourite. They are also holders of a BEAT100 Ultimate Musician Award and are now one of top 3 winners for the World Music Chart.
The Backdoor Band are currently recording their debut album, and their huge success on BEAT100 has been after the release of two videos from the upcoming album. Using BEAT100 as an aid for promotion, the band appreciates the attention and the support of the people who watched. In true Rock ‘n’ Roll style, they told us ‘big thanks for everyone, rock on!
