New Mexico Purchasing Group to Hold Webinar "Simplifying the Purchasing Process"
ROSWELL, N.M. (PRWEB) September 25, 2013 -- BidNet’s e-procurement solution announced its New Mexico Purchasing Group will be holding a second free webinar for New Mexico government agency purchasing professionals titled "Simplify the Purchasing Process".
The webinar scheduled for Oct. 3 at 11 a.m. MDT will present solutions to problems that many purchasing professionals are facing. Tammy Brisco West, Chaves County Purchasing Director, and Janine Rossi of the New Mexico Purchasing Group will be co-hosts for the hour-long informational session. The bid system held its first agency-focused webinar in May and elected to offer a second session after its positive response.
The New Mexico Purchasing Group includes 22 local New Mexico government agencies and thousands of vendors. The bid system delivers convenient, centralized online access to bid opportunities, reducing paperwork and making it easier for vendors to do business with local government. Its web-based platform currently connects vendors to 315 departments, providing a notification system that gives instant access to bids, RFPs, quotes, amendments and award information online.
The webinar will present solutions to help purchasing departments within New Mexico increase efficiency and transparency. Vendor competition, vendor management, document distribution, addendum tracking, shared resources and other beneficial e-procurement topics will be discussed during the webinar.
"Government agencies across New Mexico are benefiting from simplifying the purchasing process," said Rossi. "Through this webinar, we hope to show local government organizations how they can increase their purchasing efficiency and transparency while also lowering costs through electronic document distribution, increased vendor management, audit and control."
