Former Salesforce VP Steven Silberbach Joins Clio as VP of Global Sales

Seasoned Salesforce executive Steven Silberbach joins rapidly-growing Vancouver-based Themis Solutions Inc. to accelerate domestic and international sales initiatives.

Clio, the leader in cloud-based management tools for the legal industry, today announced that Steven Silberbach has joined the company as Vice President of Global Sales.

Silberbach brings over 20 years of sales experience to the position, most recently from Salesforce.com, where he was Vice President of Commercial and Corporate Sales. Widely recognized as an expert on building high-performance teams, he will lead all sales initiatives for Clio, including scaling the inside and outside sales team for the Canadian company.

During his eight-year tenure at Salesforce, Silberbach guided the expansion of a global sales and operations team from 10 to 600+ people—and played a pivotal role in establishing Toronto as the Eastern regional headquarters for the company. His previously held positions include Sales Director at Bell Canada and Genesys Conferencing.

As Clio’s VP of Global Sales, Silberbach will work to maximize market share and growth for the company and rapidly expanding the customer base.He will also help drive the company’s international expansion and lead the opening of an East Coast sales and operations office.

Silberbach sees huge potential in Clio’s market. “The legal profession is a large addressable market that has only just started the transition to cloud-based solutions. Clio’s founders have a vision to transform the legal technology landscape, and I’m excited to bring my experience to help the company execute on this vision.”

Founded in 2007, Clio has experienced explosive growth. After raising $6 million in a Series B financing in early 2012, the company doubled its team to 90 staff, moved into new 17,000 sq ft offices, experienced year-over-year revenue growth of 100%, and expanded its customer base significantly. Clio is now used by law firms and legal professionals in over 50 countries and has won multiple-year Best of Show awards at LegalTech New York and the American Bar Association TECHSHOW. The company is planning a fall recruitment effort to double their staff again and to open both a Toronto and European office later this year.
