AlertSystems Respond to CCTV Images Following Suspected Purse Theft
(PRWEB UK) 19 September 2013 -- According to kentnews.co.uk in an article titled ‘CCTV Released of Men Wanted in Tunbridge Wells Purse Theft Case’ published on September 16, police have released images of three men who they wish to speak to following a theft.
A 79 year old woman and her husband have reported the theft of her purse and withdrawals from her bank account to police. The husband and wife were shopping in BHS in Calverley Road in Kent, when the woman’s husband was approached by an individual in the store who asked for help with items in the store. The woman later found that her purse was missing and a total of £750 had been taken in various withdrawals from her bank account.
Police have released CCTV images from two locations of three men they wish to speak to concerning the event. PC Lauren Woodall told kentnews.co.uk how the police used CCTV from various locations to help determine the course of events. She explained that CCTV footage shows the three men the police wish to speak to in a Halifax bank, where the victim was also seen with her purse, before her visit to BHS where the purse is believed to have been taken.
She continued that:
“The account providers concerned have refunded the £750 withdrawn but this was clearly an organised gang targeting a vulnerable member of the community. It is believed a group of males are working together to commit these types of offences all over the county. I would be very keen to hear from anyone across Kent who can identify these men so we can question them about this offence.”

“In this recent case, CCTV has been used by police to trace the movements of the victim and those the police wish to speak to regarding the incident. As such, a CCTV security system in your business can provide valuable information to police who can use this to determine the course of events and further their investigation.
