Prominence Treatment Center to Host Groundbreaking Research Lecture in Honor of National Recovery Month
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) September 19, 2013 -- On Saturday, September 28 in the scenic locale of Prominence Treatment Center, Dr. George Cave will present two lectures on addiction recovery and its effects on the family. The first talk will begin at 3PM with a repeat presentation at 5PM. The event is being held in honor of National Recovery Month and will address numerous topics from Dr. Cave's forthcoming book, “Just Be a Dad: Things My Father Never Told Me.”
Dr. Cave's new release highlights the damaging influence substance abuse has on the family at large. It draws on his diverse array of experience working with addicts since receiving his Doctorate in Psychology at Fielding Graduate University in 2010. His presentation will contribute a larger theme of "prevention, treatment and recovery" championed by National Recovery Month and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
Following each lecture, Dr. Cave will be signing copies of his newly published book and answering questions on topics covered in his presentation. The event will also feature take-home information and house tours for those interested in seeing more of Prominence's facilities.
Space for this event is limited to 100 people. To RSVP or obtain further information, please contact Gretta Sudekum at (310) 990-0373 or gretta(at)prominencetreatment(dot)com.
