G4S to Honor its Custom Protection Officer® Personnel at 2013 ASIS Expo

Selected members of the G4S CPO program will be available to meet and greet Expo attendees at G4S Booth #724

G4S Secure Solutions will honor members of its award-winning Custom Protection Officer® (CPO) program at the ASIS International 59th Annual Seminar and Exhibits, Sept. 24-27, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Selected members of the G4S CPO program will be available to meet and greet Expo attendees at G4S Booth #724 and explain how their backgrounds and training combine to make the members of the finest security force in the industry.

The G4S CPO Division attracts the most qualified professionals in the security industry. They are recruited through a highly selective process and then receive classroom-based training through the G4S North America Training Institute (NATI). NATI is the industry’s only accredited corporate university for security officers.

All G4S CPOs must meet stringent experience requirements and possess leadership skills. A CPO must:

  •     Be a former law enforcement or corrections officer,
  •     Be former career military having served in the military elite forces or military police,
  •     Be a former federal agency officer,
  •     Be a police academy graduate, or
  •     Hold a degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in criminal justice, police science, or security administration.

G4S carefully screens CPO officer candidates. Those G4S officers who meet the rigorous requirements of the position then receive a minimum of 40 hours of classroom instructor-led training administered through the G4S North America Training Institute.
