On Saturday, September 28, 2013, the Lisa Lopes Foundation will host the 2nd Annual Left Eye Music Fest in Decatur, Georgia to honor the late performer. The Burke Management Firm is proud to support this tribute, joining the scores of celebrities from Atlanta and across the nation who plan to pay homage to the Grammy-Award winner. Held at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Center, the festival will take place from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m., and includes a Fun Zone for families, food, vendors, and two shows. The festival is free and open to the public; tickets for the 6 p.m., star-studded Tribute Benefit concert are $20 in advance, or $25 at the door.
“Along with her music, Lopes’ legacy of community involvement will be celebrated at this event,” says Vanzil Burke, CEO and President of the Burke Management Firm. “Though a tribute, it will be a joyful day, a day of celebration and music. I encourage those in the music community in Los Angeles to lend their support, either by attending the festival or making a contribution to the Lisa Lopes Foundation.”
Brad James, best known for his role in Tyler Perry’s “For Better or Worse,” will host the festival. Confirmed performers and special guests include the Atlanta Falcons Cheerleaders, Reigndrop Lopes (1st Lady of HipRock), Que (formerly of Day26), Bliss (international artist), Sera Hill (“The Voice”), Torion Sellers (YMCMB), QT Jazz (new single “Heels Bags”), Baby Doll (OMG Girlz), Dondria (So So Def), Ajiona Alexus (“The Rickey Smiley Show”), Kylie, Sharon Conley, David Conley, RL (from R&B group Next), D Fi Percussion Kings (from the movie “Drumline”), and more.
