Patra Corporation to Attend ASCNet TENcon 2013
Novato, CA (PRWEB) September 23, 2013 -- In support of its many clients using Applied’s agency management systems, Patra will be attending the 2013 ASCNet TENCon meeting in Las Vegas, September 30-October 3, 3013. In the past, this meeting has been a forum at which Patra has been able to answer specific questions about how Patra’s on-demand services work with Applied Epic systems and other Applied products, including TAM, Vision and others.
Patra will be located at Booth 717 in the Exhibit hall. Patra will be hosting a drawing each day of the event, as well as attending various conference sessions.
Helping Agencies Convert
Patra Corporation has assisted many agencies with Epic data migration and user training services, enabling cost-effective deployment of Applied Systems Epic. Through data preparation, document conversion, data migration, and training services, Patra has been helping agencies migrate from Vision and TAM to new Epic deployments in record time.
Patra’s Epic migration services are designed for Applied customers that are moving or planning to move to the new Epic system and could benefit from reduced costs for components of their implementation. With referrals from Applied’s Technical Services and Client Services teams and from its own large family of TAM and Vision users, Patra has undertaken numerous projects assisting customers in their movement to Epic.
Services to Enhance Migrations
These services include verifying that Vision and TAM information such as Applications, Client Details, and Policy Details are complete, contain acceptable data values, and have data in the correct fields prior to transfer to Epic. When these conditions are not met, client records are researched to obtain correct and clean values for the data fields. Such work demands precision and attention to detail, cannot be performed mechanically, and requires the keen attention of someone familiar with both systems. As an alternative to data bridges for transferring data into the new system, some organizations find it cost-effective to use a direct data entry approach and hire Patra to manually copy information from the old system into Epic.
Other services include the modification and tuning the large libraries of attachments, documents, and reports an agency needs for ongoing operations. Word documents such as proposals and renewal solicitations must be adjusted to draw information from new data elements in Epic. The many reports, such as those for producer and agency production that are to be migrated to Epic’s Report Manager, must be revised to operate within the new software environment. Careful manual adaptation by Patra’s specialists is necessary to ensure error-free operation at system startup.
Customer end users are trained on Epic by Patra’s veteran training staff. With years of agency training experience, Patra’s trainers use newly developed workflows and web technology to communicate both the power and the nuances of the Epic system.
Putting the System to Work
Patra also carries out the back-office account management functions of daily agency life for over twenty Applied customers. On Applied’s Vision, TAM, and now Epic, the processes of certificate issuance, policy checking, commercial and personal lines quoting, loss run ordering, endorsement handling, submissions, renewals, and more are performed offsite by Patra’s international workforce. Customers are saving over 40% on labor costs and reporting higher quality and improved employee morale.
