President Obama To Keynote Annual CBCF Awards Dinner
Washington (PRWEB) September 19, 2013 -- President Barack Obama will deliver the keynote address during the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 43rd Annual Legislative Conference Phoenix Awards Dinner, in an evening commemorating the historic 1963 March on Washington. The event is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 21st at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center (WCC).
This year’s gathering will pay tribute to the “Spirit of 1963” and the monumental change it has ushered into American life in the 50 years since. The honorees include Former President William Jefferson Clinton, Rep. Elijah E. Cummings (MD) and Elaine Jones, former president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
