QualityStar Will Present at the Annual Conference for the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine
Omaha, NE (PRWEB) September 20, 2013 -- QualityStar, an independent quality consortium, announces that it will participate in the Annual Conference for the Society to Improve Diagnosis in Medicine.
QualityStar’s Quality Consortium provides retrospective, random case review by external specialists and subspecialists. Case review/peer review is an important component of a diagnostic quality program and provides assessment of both false negative and false positive cases.
QualityStar has built a national network of pathologists in specialized disciplines to deliver independent quality assurance case review. Cases submitted from member pathologists are double blinded and specific metrics of accuracy; turn-around-time (TAT), clerical error and diagnostic confidence are generated to provide longitudinal and benchmarking reports.
QualityStar has gained the approval of:
• The American Board of Pathology for maintenance of certification level IV quality assurance.
• CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) under the Physician Safety and Quality System (PQRS) for incremental 0.5% payment on total pathology Medicare Part B
