Hip Hop and Hair are indelibly etched together in the fabric of popular urban culture. From the classic asymmetrical styles launched by iconic female emcees Salt N’ Peppa and the much talked about Afro Puffs of West Coast Queen Rage to the cropped blonde, red and brown looks sported by Eve reinvented in the crayola colors and fantastical styles often worn by Nicki Minaj, hair is the #1 accessory for a well-rounded entertainer. This year, during one of Hip Hop’s biggest weekends, Dr. Miracle’s partners with celebrity photographer Drexina Nelson and two of the most well-known print outlets on a stylish girl’s Kindle; Today’s Black Woman and Hype Hair to breathe life into the concept of healthy hair meeting Hip Hop.
Transforming the #RX4Style Lounge into an invitation-only, celebrity beauty and grooming suite, the Dr. Miracle Healthy Hair experts welcome the Drexina Nelson Salon Team as the luxury lounge opens to offer prep and touch up services for those readying themselves for a whirlwind weekend. The Doctor realizes that Hip Hop is a haven for great looking guys so Master Barbers Sam Sneed, Z the Great and O Da Barber, proprietors of Queens, NY based Strictly Skillz Barber Shop will be on hand to service the kings of the microphone.
