Northeast Indiana Innovation Center Named One of Top Four “Best Under the Radar Business Incubators” in the Country
Fort Wayne, IN (PRWEB) September 24, 2013 -- The Northeast Indiana Innovation Center (NIIC) announced today that it has been named one of the top four “Best Under the Radar Business Incubators” in the country by Entrepreneur Magazine. The other three incubators to make the top four list included: High Tech Rochester in West Henrietta, NY, University of Central Florida Business Incubation Program in Orlando, FL and the Santa Fe Business Incubator in Santa Fe, NM.

The NIIC was formed in 2000 by a group of community, government, economic development and education leaders led by a local cardiologist, Dr. Mike Mirro. Karl LaPan has been President and CEO of the NIIC since its inception. As one of the few ISO9001:2008 certified business & technology incubators, NIIC serves entrepreneurs, business owners, and existing businesses who want to launch or grow a company, product, or process in a high growth industry/sector. Current programs include business coaching, resident offices, co-working space, larger custom space in the emerging growth center, or building your own building on the Innovation Park campus. The Northeast Indiana Innovation Center has assisted over 100 companies commercialize over 100 patents and launch nearly 300 products into the marketplace.
