Avēsis Names Mark Babbitt as New Senior Vice President of Operations

Avēsis, a national vision, dental and hearing care program administrator (http://www.avesis.com), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Babbitt as Senior Vice President of Operations.

For the past eleven years, Mr. Babbitt served in key senior executive positions at Triwest Healthcare Alliance where he was responsible for both corporate and field operations encompassing 96 operational locations which provided support for approximately 3 million TRICARE health plan members. Amongst many other achievements, Mark led the development and implementation of an integrated tracking and measurement system, utilized to obtain consultative and treatment reports from provider specialists and delivering them to the referring primary care provider. This system was utilized by 190,000 network providers. In addition, Mark spearheaded the implementation of a corporate customer service model that was recognized by JD Power as a benchmark model, resulting in both improved staff retention, while concurrently improving members’ call center experience.

Mr. Babbitt will lead the Avēsis Customer Service, Quality Assurance, Learning and Development, Claims, Data Integrity, and Member Enrollment/Eligibility Departments and administrative operations at Avēsis’ headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. “I am excited to be joining Avēsis at this pivotal time in the healthcare and the managed care industry and am honored to be leading such a talented group of people,” stated Mr. Babbitt. “Key initiatives that I will focus on initially are related to refining our Customer Care and operations functions and improving the efficiencies and effectiveness of our customer service, enrollment and claims operational activities.
