Wellcentive is honored to be included in a top firm’s report on clinical analytics for population health management.
Atlanta, Georgia (PRWEB) September 25, 2013
Wellcentive is selected as a best-of-breed vendor in health analyst firm Chilmark Research’s 2013 Clinical Analytics for Pop Health Market Trends Report. Chilmark calls this “first report of its kind” an “in-depth look at just how providers are beginning to adopt clinical analytics for population health management (CAPH),” including an analysis of technologies currently being leveraged, the vendors in this crowded industry, and where the market and industry are headed in the future.
To be included in the Chilmark report, vendors had to meet four selection criteria: (1) they possess assets that will make them important future players in the clinical analytics for population health management (CAPH) market; (2) they provide clinical data integration across multiple soft¬ware platforms in offering population health management functionality; (3) their core CAPH capabilities are developed inter¬nally; and (4) they are largely agnostic regarding electronic health record (EHR) vendors.
Chilmark then classed 14 selected vendors into five groups:
- Clinical best of breed: infrastructure-centric
- Clinical best of breed: app-centric
- Claims-based best of breed app & pivoting
- HIT vendor with secondary analytics solution
- Generic horizontal analytics/services
Wellcentive is one of only two vendors included in the “clinical best of breed: app-centric” category, which Chilmark describes as “turnkey” population health management. In the report’s rankings, Chilmark gives Wellcentive a “B+” product grade – only one product in another category was graded higher – summarizing that, “Overall, Wellcentive offers very mature, app-centric products” that enable the company to “stay ahead of their provider-centric competitors in integrating risk management and cost data.”
“Wellcentive is honored to be included in a top firm’s report on clinical analytics for population health management,” said Wellcentive CEO Tom Zajac. “Our classification as an app-centric, turnkey solution acknowledges that Wellcentive is driving clinical workflow with a fast-to-value, physician-facing approach, which puts us at the center of activity as providers assume responsibility for patient health beyond their practices’ walls.”
