(PRWEB) September 27, 2013 -- It’s more than a physical transformation. “Our goal is to be the centre of the photographic universe,” explains Ian Landy, President of Henry’s. “We don’t just sell cameras, we are unique because we provide our customer with the knowledge, expertise and equipment they need to get the most out of this wonderful hobby. We will match you with the right camera for your needs, teach you how to use it and be your partner on your photographic journey. We don’t just sell boxes, we will support your hobby for life.” Henry's can make this statement quite confidently for a number of reasons. The sales staff, across the 33 store chain, consists mainly of pro-level photographers with an extensive knowledge base.
Henry’s School of Imaging is another specialized service that differentiates Henry’s from other photographic retailers. The School offers over 50 classes designed to support continued enhancement and development of photo skills. This year, the School launched a Photography Adventure Tours series starting with a sold-out photographic learning tour to Peru this summer. A photographic adventure to India is scheduled for next month and the Galapagos is slated for early next year. For those who want to stay closer to home, the School has also introduced a series of “behind the scenes” classes that takes students back stage to a TSO rehearsal at Roy Thompson Hall or into the historical wings of The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre.
One of the most exciting initiatives to be introduced October 5 at the flagship store is Henry’s Rentals. “We want to give all our customers the opportunity to explore all the possibilities that photography has to offer,” Ian explains. “Whether you are going on an exotic safari and can’t justify the purchase price tag of the lens you want, or you want to immortalize a special moment using the best lighting equipment available, but will have little use for it afterwards, then consider renting.”
Henry’s is focused on being competitive in a very aggressive market. “We aim to give you the best value so we encourage everyone to give us an opportunity to match a competitor’s price or put together a package that is better value all around.”
