'Our goal is to assist our members in choosing the right technologies, vendors and distributors for their businesses.' -Ashley Goloubef, Gift Card Network Committee Chair and Brand Manager at Cara Operations.
Portland, OR (PRWEB) September 23, 2013
In response to the rapid expansion of gift card technology and devices, The Gift Card Network has announced the creation of a Digital Technology Committee to identify and classify the industry’s digital technology. The research will look at the application to merchant consumer sales, internal ROI and consumer gifting.
“The gift card industry recently adopted digital delivery mechanisms and in response, a variety of mobile, digital, and social distributors have emerged to fill the growing need for consumer solutions,“ said Ashley Goloubef, Committee Chair and Brand Manager at Cara Operations. “Our goal is to assist our members in choosing the right technologies, vendors and distributors for their businesses.”
Committee chairs, Ashley Goloubef from Cara Operations and Amanda French from Givex will lead the committee. Cara Operations Limited (Cara) is Canada’s leading branded full service restaurant organization. Givex is a technology company offering clients a global reach with cost-effective gift card, omni-channel loyalty, analytics and cloud-based POS solutions.
“In today’s omni-channel market, companies must have the right technological solutions to engage with customers in any channel, be it social media applications, mobile wallets or anything in between,” said Amanda French, Committee Chair and VP, Partner & Client Development at Givex. “We’re pleased to help members evaluate what’s out there and how they can use it to create better customer experiences.”
"We want to help merchants and everyone else understand this confusing, growing segment of their jobs. Technology is going to get more messy, but lucrative for merchants. Unfortunately, most merchants don't have time or resources to process it all until someone starts understanding and organizing it. This committee is taking it on," stated Matt Davies, Gift Card Network Director.
