Arcbazar Announces New Innovative Ranking Feature for its Clients
Cambridge, Massachusetts (PRWEB) September 23, 2013 -- Arcbazar announced a new Ranking Feature, which allows its clients to make informed and fair value judgements on their design submissions. Clients can rate each submission on basic criteria and get instant polling results from their family and friends. In the field of architecture, crowd-sourcing can save a homeowner a great deal of time and money, while providing a wide-range of ideas from which to choose from. And, although reaching around the globe for architectural services can be cost-effective and rewarding, sometimes the most important input comes from those closest to us. In addition to providing a forum for designers and architects to compete, Arcbazar now offers clients to gather input from friends and family while choosing the best-fitting design with a new ranking module.
With an average of nine submissions per project for Arcbazar contests – and cash prizes being awarded to the top three – it can be difficult for a homeowner to choose which designs should be awarded the prize. Arcbazar’s new Ranking Module feature provides the host of a competition with an intuitive tool to rank all submissions based on the criteria which s/he deems most important, including the option to solicit feedback from family and friends. The new feature allows one to assign a weight to each element of the design (looks, functionality, graphics, etc.) and subsequently assign values in these elements to each submission. Janet S., a recent Arcbazar customer from Ohio, says "This made me really look thoroughly at each one [submission] to decide what it was about them that I liked and didn't like. I really enjoyed the ability to communicate with the final three designers what it was about their design that made us rank them in the order that we did."
With an easy-to-use interface the Ranking Module takes much of the guess work out of choosing the winner. Yet, in today’s age of social connectedness, the ease and importance of feedback from family and friends is undeniable. To facilitate the decision process, the host of a competition can choose to invite select family members or friends to lend their two cents on each design, using the ranking module for themselves.
When asked about the overall user experince on Arcbazar, Janet says "Using Arcbazar was a great experience from the beginning to end! The website was easy to use and the communication was excellent. It was remarkable how easy, efficient, and non-time consuming it was obtaining these designs; no taking off work to let them in the house etc. The follow-up from Arcbazar was top-notched." There is no question that making a home renovation or addition is a major decision. Not only do design and architectural projects cost a great deal, they leave an imprint on family and friends for years to come. Through its crowd-sourcing platform Arcbazar has not only reduced the cost of professional design services, but has also allowed homeowners a wider range of choice in design. Now, with its new Ranking Module feature, Arcbazar hopes to make the decision process a little easier. With this addition, homeowners can decide not only which submissions to honor with compensation, but which elements of each design are most important to them and their loved ones. "The ranking module was one of the best aspects. Our family and friends really got into it and happily gave their opinions on the designs, helping to sort out what we really wanted," says Janet.
