Aegis Identity Software, Inc. Is Named the Identity Management (IAM) Provider for the IlliniCloud and National Center for Supercomputing Applications
Englewood, CO (PRWEB) September 24, 2013 -- Aegis Identity Software, Inc. is named the Identity and Access Management (IAM) provider for the Illini Cloud and forms new relationship with the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Illinois).
Aegis Identity Software’s TridentK12 Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform will be adopted for IlliniCloud “Federated Identity Services for K12” solution for Illinois school districts.
The IlliniCloud is a cooperative computing cloud provider built “by K12 for K12”; provides state of the art computing for the K-12 Education Community including:

The IlliniCloud and NCSA are participating in the “Quilt / InCommon K12 Pilot” project to open the doors of opportunity for K12 organizations to benefit from federated identity and federation providers like InCommon. Specifically, IlliniCloud is involved to validate the models, policies, and processes being developed to provide federated access of cloud services to K-12 and community colleges in partnership with the advanced regional networks supporting research and education. This progressive effort will enhance the educational resources offered to all constituents in the P-20 community.
